Before your booking

  • Send over your hair inspiration pictures of the hairstyle that you'd like

  • Send over a picture of yourself showing your hair from the front and back in a well lit area (by a window or outside). Avoid selfies and get someone to take a picture head on

  • Let me know in advance if you or anyone in your booking party has any hair concerns such as hair thinning or wants to cover ears, back or scalp.

It's always so much better for me to be notified in advance so I can be prepared for your requirements on the day.

  • Re-confirm where we will be meeting including the the full address and where the parking is. If you are in a hotel, confirm the room number once you know or if I'd need to sign in at reception or register my car.

  • If a makeup artist is also booked, please confirm who this is and the time/s they will start and finish. I can then advise a suitable schedule that works best for everyone.

How to prep your hair

  • Wash & blow dry your hair smooth a day before. Do not let your hair air dry

  • Shampoo twice and you may use a small amount of conditioner

  • For dry or frizzy hair, you can also use a leave in conditioner or a water based serum but no hair oil

  • For silky or fine hair, you can use a mousse before blow drying but no hair oil, leave in conditioner or serums

  • For hair that gets oily easily, you may wash on the same day but ensure hair is fully dry before we start styling.

    Hair extensions

  • If you are wearing human hair extensions they must be washed and free of any product

  • Hair extensions need to be washed even if they are brand new and not been used before

  • Extensions need to be shampooed twice, you can use a very small amount of conditioner and roughly blow dried. They must be dry before the event day

On the day

  • Have the top half of your outfit on or something loose that you can easily remove that won't go over your head

  • Have all of your jewellery and dupatta/veil ready, including hair accessories, tikka, earrings and provide it to me before we start

  • If using hair extensions, please have them washed, dried and brushed out

  • Ensure the space is suitable for styling, you will need a chair with a low back, table for my tools (at dining table height) and plug point close by.

  • A mirror is preferred but not necessary especially if makeup is being done at the same time
